3D imaging & computing – DNA-HIVE

3D imaging & computing

HIVE integrates 3D imaging into clinical and research workflows and is currently supporting operations, research and development.

Our solution offers an easy-to-use, vendor-independent, AI-powered image visualization of all available imaging data in collaborative 3D workspaces. We provide advanced interventional procedures and surgery planning. The multi-user platform allows curation of data from an EHRs/EMRs and picture archive system (PACS) allowing for near instantaneous 3D segmentation for planning. Segmentations can be annotated and used intraprocedural as well with advanced features allowing for co-registration of data on live patients. The platform also allows for outcome data capture paving the way for predictive analytics.

More specifically, our solutions enable the following innovative capabilities:

  • Virtual 3D visualizations and aids for real-time surgical guidance based on CTs, MRIs, pet scans and their fusion. Includes intraoperative real time fusion and overlay with Cone Beam (CBCT). The following procedures are covered currently: (a) colostomy creation, (b) liver biopsy/ablation, (c) kidney biopsy/ablation, (d) liver cancer resection surgery, (e) lung cancer partial resection such as segmentectomy and wedge, (f) rectal cancer resection, (g) prostate biopsy/partial gland ablation.
  • A multi-person shared collaborative feature to enable seamless, simultaneous work and annotations on 3D models. This is a very innovative approach to create shared 3D case review and pre-operative treatment planning models.
  • Projecting virtual 3D models created from AI-assisted image segmentation and annotations on various intraoperative displays such as augmented reality (AR), 3D monitors and regular monitors.
  • An extensible platform for integration with third-party hardware and software and adaptable for innovative research workflows.

Designed to evolve, grow, and integrate with technologies from various vendors, we aim to enhance patient care and continue offering innovative solutions in the ever-changing field of clinical care.
